Floral Art

Come and join the Festival of Flowers at the 2026 Eisteddfod Guernsey in March. This year’s titles are based around the overarching theme of 'Myths & Legends'. Why not get out your secateurs and favourite vase, gather some foliage or flowers and go for it? You are warmly invited to get involved in this unique event. We don’t mind if you are an experienced floral artist, home flower arranger or novice, adult or child. We have 9 classes to choose from. Everyone can enter Eisteddfod Guernsey's Floral section, wherever you live, in the Bailiwick and beyond. Share your creativity, challenge yourself to try something new or just enjoy a mindful activity. We look forward to seeing you and your creative side.

Meet the Eisteddfod Guernsey Floral Art Section Team Members:

Floral Art Section Coordinator:

  • Linda Armstead

    floral@eisteddfod.gg

Linda first tried her hand at flower arranging at around eight years old, with a little help from her mum, and she’s been hooked ever since.

A few years ago, a chance meeting with Mrs Minta led to volunteering as a Steward at the Exhibition, where Linda was surprised to find there were no floral exhibits. Given Guernsey’s reputation as an island of flowers, it was a shock to discover that the section had no coordinator at the time, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Thanks to Linda’s enthusiasm and leadership, the Eisteddfod Guernsey Floral Art section now welcomes arrangers of all ages and abilities from across the Bailiwick - from children and first-time entrants to experienced floral artists.

Linda's ambition is to see the Floral Art section continue to grow and once again become a stalwart of the Eisteddfod’s future - so come and join in!
