Literary

The Literary section has always been at the heart of the Guernsey Eisteddfod. Whether poetry, prose or dramatic scripts, we are always proud to showcase the local talent we have across the Bailiwick. Perhaps you are writing with a view to publish, or you might just be writing as a hobby; either way, the Eisteddfod Guernsey offers the opportunity for constructive feedback and the chance to have your work recognised within the community. Our carefully selected adjudication team will provide comments on every piece submitted, alongside certificates and trophies for the best entries. Work is adjudicated anonymously, so everyone is given a fair opportunity. Trophies have been won by people of all ages, those who are entering for the first time and those who have entered year after year. There are classes for children too! There are several trophies to be won by our younger writers, a great way to inspire the next generation of literary lovers! Traditionally junior entries are submitted via school, however, we welcome independent entries too. Every year we are very impressed with the standard of the submitted entries, and we look forward to seeing what this year has to offer!
