Eisteddfod Guernsey is delighted to be taking part in Guernsey Arts Sunday for the first time this year, joining organisations from across the island along St Peter Port seafront for a vibrant celebration of the arts.
As part of the day, we’ll be bringing an ‘Eisteddfod Showcase’ to the seafront, featuring a selection of outstanding performances from the French, Guernesiais, Music and Speech & Drama sections. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience the talent and creativity that the Eisteddfod celebrates each year.
Alongside the showcase, we’ll also have a stall representing the wider festival, where visitors can find out more about the many sections that make up the Eisteddfod and how to get involved, whether as a performer, exhibitor, volunteer or supporter.
This year’s event also ties in with the National Year of Reading and the “Go All In” campaign, celebrating the joy of reading in all its forms. From poetry and prose to scripts, lyrics and performance pieces, the Eisteddfod highlights how the written word can be brought to life through the arts.
More information to come.
